BSR is owned by Billy Sontag of Crest Hill. BSR is a top of the line fabricator and have built numerous race cars for both street and oval track competition. These cars have won a number of championships and races.

Bboyz Racing is owned by Len Baran of Joliet. This highly successful team has won races all over the Midwest with former driver Larry Schuler. After a decade of retirement it has restarted to provide race cars for Len Baran's Grandsons Nick and Tyler.

BBOYZ Racing was established in 1994 by Len Baran. He was no stranger to bringing successful race teams to the track. Previously he was Owner to Top Gun Racing Team with Larry Schuler as a driver. They were a winning team with top equipment and driver skill, providing exciting racing to fans. After dissolving Top Gun Racing, Len established BBOYZ racing to afford Nick and his younger brother, Tyler a chance to race. From an early age Nick's dream was to become a professional race car driver. He had spent the first 7 years of his life watching his grandfather, Len and driver Larry Schuler competitively race. Some say Nick was born to race. He certainly has the "need for speed" in his blood.

To date BBOYZ Racing Team had shown success, won championships, maintained the highest levels of sportsmanship and continue to bring exciting racing to the tracks it races at.

Today BBOYZ Racing is involved in racing throughout the Midwest, mostly through the CRA Racing Circuit. More information can be found at www.craracing.net on schedules and press releases. Nick began racing in CRA Races in 2006 & proved to be competitive in his first showings, finishing 8th or better in a field of some of the best and seasoned drivers in the country. This year Nick is competing for "Rookie of the Year" amongst some tough competition. He can be seen driving the #87 PBI Air Ducts, BBOYZ Racing Team car.

Nick also drives for the #3 Sontag Racing Team (owned by Billy Sontag) at local track, Grundy County Speedway. Nick won his first ever Late Model Feature Race in 2005 at this track and has won 2 championships in the Legends Series at this track. He has also raced in the Burris Racing bandelero class and caged go carts at this track. He will compete for "Rookie of the Year", again amongst some tough competition.

Crew Chief

Scott Baran of Plainfield, IL and also Nick's father, has been in racing for nearly 25 years. He was crew chief for Larry Schuler, racing locally, and also in the ARTGO Series. He also was crew chief for Biff George who won Artgo Rookie of the Year and also the Grundy County Championship. He also was Crew Chief for Pat Kelly in the season that Pat won Rookie of the Year at Grundy County.
